🚀Hi, I'm Luis Eduardo Hoi Fan, a 1st year Computer Science Co-op student at the University of Guelph, currently pursuing my Bachelor of Computing. I'm deeply passionate about programming and machine learning, with a special interest in computer vision. My curiosity extends beyond software — I'm also fascinated by hardware, and the theory that drives both fields. 🦯 StreetSense - AI Navigation Assistant for the Visually Impaired
At my first hackathon, Hack Canada, I helped build StreetSense, a real-time AI navigation tool for the visually impaired. We used YOLO, TensorFlow Lite, and cloud processing to detect crosswalks, vehicles, and signs, with audio feedback for guidance. It was a powerful experience applying AI to improve accessibility and real-world impact.
☀️ SolarTool - Custom Mod Menu Built with LUA
I developed SolarTool (also known as SunLight Tool), a LUA-based mod menu for ARK: Survival Evolved on rooted Android devices. Designed for performance and customization, it featured:
- Adjustable field of view, night vision, and game speed
- Real-time overlays for player and structure tracking
- Custom UI elements, color changers, and vision sliders
- Modular LUA scripting for low-latency execution
